Our Promise to Serve
Our Promise to Serve is that Oakdale will always reserve spaces for students to attend at every capacity of paying. When those reserved spaces are available, finances will not be the sole determining factor preventing a student from enrolling at Oakdale Christian Academy. Financial aid programs make attending Oakdale affordable when the following three criteria are met:
- The applicant is ready for the opportunity to attend and is capable of doing college-preparatory work.
- The applicant makes the choice to attend Oakdale Christian Academy.
- The family is willing to make the appropriate efforts and sacrifices to pay what it can.
Each year Oakdale Christian Academy awards financial aid to approximately 80% of its student body. All financial aid is based on financial needs.
Church or Civic Organization
Occasionally the church or civic organization that a family belongs to will assist with costs. Discussing your situation with the Pastor of your church or the President of your group may lead to financial assistance.
Oakdale Christian Academy is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and can provide a tax-deductible receipt for friends, family members (who are not financially responsible for the student’s tuition), companies, or anyone else that contributes to helping underwrite our scholarship fund. Please contact Will Mosier-Peterson at 606-332-0432 about this possibility.
Before discussions of financial assistance and financial aid can be discussed, the student application process must be complete, the student must receive notification of acceptance, and the TADS documentation must be completed. Limited financial aid is available for International Students. Please contact your admissions representative for more information.
Please complete the Financial Aid Application to apply to receive financial assistance. To prepare to complete the application, download and complete the TADS Financial Aid Worksheet.
No offered or implied offer of financial aid from Oakdale Christian Academy is considered official unless given in writing from the business manager in the form of a Billing Agreement.
Tuition, Room, and Board are due before a student is able to move into the dorm and register for classes.
The first-semester amount must be paid before the student is able to move into the dorm and register for classes.
Balance is divided over ten monthly payments. All monthly payments are due by the 20th of each month. The final payment is due before May 20th of the current academic year. This option is not available to international students.
Withdrawals & Expulsion Student Financial Policy
A student who withdraws or is expelled during the first four weeks of a semester will be charged one-half (2.5 monthly payments) of the agreed-upon balance for the semester.
A student who withdraws or is expelled anytime after the first four weeks of a semester will be charged the agreed-upon balance for the semester.
This policy exists because the hiring of teachers and staff and the ordering of textbooks and other classroom materials are based upon anticipated enrollment. Parents will be expected to honor their commitment to the school. Requests for exceptions must be addressed to the Business Office, in writing, and will only be considered in extreme circumstances such as the death of a parent, loss of employment. or other extenuating circumstances.
