FACILITIES DIRECTOR (SPRING 2027)

The Facilities Director reports directly to the President and is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and proper operation of Oakdale Christian Academy’s physical plant. This position plans, organizes, coordinates, and supervises day-to-day maintenance activities, including the repair and upkeep of buildings, facilities, and grounds. The Facilities Director supervises and evaluates maintenance staff, assigns and reviews work, develops schedules, coordinates emergency maintenance needs, and maintains appropriate records related to work orders, inventory, supplies, safety concerns, and completed projects. The position regularly inspects buildings and facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs, makes recommendations to the administration, and assists in developing and implementing a systematic preventive maintenance program. Responsibilities also include determining equipment, material, and supply needs; working with vendors, contractors, and inspectors; and ensuring compliance with applicable state, county, and city laws, building codes, safety requirements, and regulations. The Facilities Director should have general knowledge and practical experience in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, heating and air conditioning, and general building construction and maintenance. The individual must be able to prioritize and schedule projects, read construction drawings and blueprints, estimate material and labor costs, work independently, maintain positive working relationships, and perform heavy physical labor as needed. A minimum of a high school diploma and five years of applicable work experience is required. As a member of the Oakdale Christian Academy staff, the Facilities Director is also expected to participate in the broader ministry of Oakdale beyond the specific responsibilities of the position.

DEAN OF STUDENTS

The Dean of Students at Oakdale Christian Academy oversees student life, ensuring a safe, structured, and spiritually nurturing environment. This role supports students’ academic and personal growth by managing behavior expectations, guiding residential life, providing discipline when needed, and fostering positive relationships between students, staff, and families. The Dean of Students also helps create programs and policies that uphold Oakdale’s mission and maintain a healthy campus culture.

BOYS' DORM DEAN

This person will oversee the daily functions of the dorm, providing guidance, structure, and support to the students in his care.
