Oakdale Christian Academy has been approved for accreditation by Southern Association of Colleges and School (SACS) through AdvancED, President Dan Fisher announced on Monday.

SACS is the regional accrediting agency for schools in the southeast United States. Several years ago, SACS joined with the secondary school division of the North Central Association to form AdvancED(pronounced “Advance Ed”), an accrediting body for secondary schools. In 2011, Oakdale Christian Academy applied for accreditation with AdvancED, and in February received news that it had been approved for AdvancED accreditation.

“This is further evidence of the quality education offered by Oakdale Christian Academy,” commented President Fisher. “We are pleased to welcome the input of AdvancED as we seek to continually improve and provide the best education possible to our students.”

Oakdale Christian Academy has held accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International since 2002, and is certified the Kentucky Non-Public Schools Commission.
