This morning our students are being told the theme for the 2014-15 school year:  All In. The idea of All In is scriptural:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37 (NIV)

“Teach me your way,  Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” Psalm 86:11 (NIV)

The most significant of students’ experience at Oakdale Christian Academy will come out of their learning to be all in with God. We are prayerfully confident that God will use us in the coming year to accomplish growth in this area.

Beyond the spiritual application, we are extending the idea of “All In” to students giving their best efforts to every area of their lives — including relationships, school activities, Job Training, and care of others and themselves, following the command:

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters…” Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

At our staff retreat last week, the theme was “Building Community:  Are You “‘All In’?” We explored ways to make our community even stronger.  Already and in so many ways, our staff members are all in as a group of highly committed professionals and it is a joy to work with them.

Pray with us this year, as the students and staff together study what it means to be all in!
