Serving Students from Ohio
“We never contemplated sending our children to boarding school.”
Choosing to send a student to a boarding can be one of the most difficult decisions a parent will make. Will your child be well cared for? Is this really a necessary step?
Why consider sending a student to Kentucky, so far from home in Ohio? There are few boarding schools as affordable as Oakdale. The individual attention to student needs is extraordinary at Oakdale. And Oakdale is a Christ-centered community where students and staff live on the same campus and interact during evenings and weekends, not just during the school day.
Samantha, from Liberty Center, Ohio, came to Oakdale in 2011. Oakdale has been a great place for her, and as the following email from her grandmother tells, is where Samantha found many new friends and is thriving.
I was able to talk to Samantha last night and she sounds wonderful and happy. Thank you for all the tender loving care you all are giving her. I can see how she is growing and it’s a blessing.
She tells me how much she loves you guys and she’s so excited because she counted all of her friends and she told me about them. She said 20 so far. So far!!! That is an exciting statement for Sam. She was always sad that her friends at her previous school all had “best friends” and she didn’t. She always wanted a “best friend.” Wow! I think she has more than just one “best friend.”
Thank you so much again for us to have such a wonderful opportunity. I see changes in her, her mom, her siblings from talking to her and hearing how happy she is. God is so great!!
We are eager to serve students who are ready for the opportunity and challenge of a fully accredited education and a nurturing boarding program.
